    • Dr. Narinder Batra (born on 18 April 1957) is an industrialist. He is the President, Hockey India (National Sports Federation) and also the Chairman, Hockey India League. He is also the Vice President - Asian Hockey Federation, Associate Vice President - Indian Olympic Association and Member of International Hockey Federation (FIH) Competitions Committee.

      Dr. Batra studied law at University of Kashmir and is the Managing Director of Batra Group which is an Indian multi-dimensional conglomerate company having its operations in seven business sectors including Healthcare, Automobiles, Renewable Energy, Transportation & Logistics, Education, Garments Export and Oil & Gas.

      A passionate and life-long hockey lover Dr. Batra is instrumental in launching the Hockey India League in 2013, a franchise based League. The Hockey India League has played an important role in providing financial security to the hockey players and the technical officials.

      With the efforts of Dr. Batra, Hockey India has successfully hosted major international events which, includes FIH Olympic Qualifying Tournament at New Delhi in 2012, FIH World League Round 2 at New Delhi in 2013, FIH Junior Men World Cup at New Delhi in 2013 and FIH World League Round Final at New Delhi in 2014. Hockey India will also won the hosting rights to major events in the coming years including the FIH Champions Trophy in December this year at Bhubaneswar, FIH Junior Men’s World Cup in 2016 and FIH Men’s World Cup in 2018.
