*42nd Indian Oil Surjit Hockey # Dr. Ashok Mittal to Inaugurate the Tournament. *

• Jalandhar, Oct 19 : (? ) - Full of thrilling competition between the country's renowned hockey teams, the 42nd IndianOil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament is set to begin on October 23 at the local Surjit Hockey Stadium. The inauguration ceremony of the tournament will be performed at 6:15 PM by Dr. Ashok Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of Lovely Professional University. In this 10 days long hockey bonanaza, 12 top-tier teams of the country, including last year's champion team Indian Oil Mumbai and runner-up Bharat Petroleum Mumbai, will showcase their talent. At the inaugural function, the Chief General Manager (Operations) of IndianOil Yashpal Kant will be present as the Guest of Honour, while Nitin Kohli, President of Hockey Punjab and In-charge of the Aam Aadmi Party's Jalandhar (Central) Assembly Constituency will be present as the Special Guest. Two matches will be played daily from 4:30 PM under floodlights in this tournament, which will be a great opportunity for hockey lovers. To make the tournament even more exciting, enthusiasm is being generated among the spectators with the slogan "Watch Surjit Hockey - Win an Alto Car". Under this initiative, every spectator who arrives at the stadium's entry gate each day will be given a coupon. Immediately after the tournament's final match, a draw will be held from these coupons for the grand prize of an Alto car.
