Army Green, Indian Navy, ASC and CAG Delhi Register victories Jalandhar October 27, 2022 Army Green beat CRPF Delhi by 3-1 in the inaugural match of the 39th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here this evening. Earlier tournament inaugurated by Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar Local bodies Minister Punjab. In other matches Indian Navy beat Corp of Signals Jalandhar by 4-3, ASC beat Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala by 2-1, CAG Delhi beat EME Jalandhar by 3-0. In Inaugural match CRPF Delhi and Army Green displayed good hockey. In the 17th minute of the match CRPF’s Sharnjit Singh netted the ball from right flank (1-0). At half time CRPF was leading by solitary goal. In the 48th minute equalizer comes from the stick of Simrandeep Singh of Army Green via penalty corner conversion (1-1). In the last quarter of the match Army Green scored two field goals to steal the match and entered the next round of the tournament. The scorer was Jobanpreet Singh who scored in 57th and 59th minute of the play (3-1). Earlier in other knock out stage’s first match Indian Navy Mumbai beat Corp of Signals Jalandhar by 4-3. For winners Palangappa, Kuldeep, Ajinke Yadav and Parshant scored where as for Signals Akshey Dubey scored twice and Rajneesh kumar scored one. In knock out stage’s second match ASC beat Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala by 2-1. for ASC Manmeet singh scored two goals where as for RCF Karanpal Singh scored. In knock out stage’s third match CAG Delhi beat EME Jalandhar by 3-0. for CAG Mreshwaran, Anul Haque and Venktesh Telgu scored the goals. 28th October’s match ASC v/s CAG Delhi 12-30 pm Indian Navy v/s Army Green 5 – 2-15 pm Indian Railways v/s winner match 4- 4-00 pm Punjab &b Sind Bank v/s Army XI Delhi – 5-45 pm
